| after a long while being MIA, all i have to say that is coming back to the states after having such an amazing time abroad and falling in love and being in a relationship with someone who lives 500 miles away and trying to adjust back to life at school is a really hard thing to do, and i feel like right now i'm failing at a lot of it. i'm sorry if i'm not keeping in touch with many of you. i'm trying, but it's hard for me to get anything done in this state. i probably miss you, though, if that makes you feel any better.

| okay, so i realized i've neglected xanga for a little while, and even
though i don't really care, i will bring it up to date a little.
may22 - july29, mark your calendars... i won't be around. i'll be in
illinois doing archaeology stuff. i got into my summer program,
woohoo... 9 students and 5 faculty for 10 weeks... all expenses paid for except flights and 5 weeks of
groceries, and i get paid doing a field school. ha.
then i'll be leaving late august for beijing. if i don't get into the
program, i'll wander around and do my own thing for a while. maybe live
in the house of love with nia and others. pete michelinie might be
living there next year...
